What your netball position says about you – the stories behind the badges

If you’ve ever played netball, you’ll know your position on the court says a lot about who you are off it. Goal Attacks with their glittery socks, Wing Defenders who quietly do all the hard work, Centres who can’t help but run the show - we all bring our personalities to the bib we wear.

That’s exactly what inspired the Here If Ya Need badge collection. Forty-five designs that celebrate (and poke a bit of fun at) the traits every netballer knows too well.

How it all started

The idea first came from…

It was meant to be a laugh between friends, but the response was incredible. Everyone had a story about themselves, their teammates, or the role they always ended up playing.

Now, as I develop my film Here If Ya Need, I wanted to bring those characters to life in a new way – through wearable merch that’s both fun and a little tongue-in-cheek.

Meet a few of the favourites

Here’s a sneak peek at just a few of the badges:

• Goal Attack Princess – stylish, sassy, and maybe a little dramatic when the whistle goes the wrong way.

• Goal Defence Control Freak – the player who thinks they’re the team psychologist, the referee, and sometimes the coach too.

• Wing Defence Underrated Hero – never flashy, but always the glue holding the game together.

If you’ve ever shared a laugh (or an eye roll) with a teammate, you’ll probably spot someone you know in these designs.

Why badges and t-shirts?

For me, the badges and tees aren’t just about merch. They’re about community. They’re a way for us to celebrate the quirks of netball culture while raising awareness and funds to bring the film to life.

I love the idea that people will wear them to training, stick them on their kit bags, or gift them to the teammate who’s always telling the coach what to do. It’s part fundraiser, part in-joke, and part love letter to the sport we all grew up with.
